Question......

I have found that when stamping, sometimes my stamps come out crooked or uneven. This is especially vexing when I am using word stamps.

Any suggestions on how to keep the stamps straight.

As far as having the stamps come out even, if you flip them over and rub and tap the ink onto the stamp, you can make sure you cover the entire stamp evenly. I also always practice the stamp on scratch paper first.

Also, if I'm stamping a small piece of paper, like a square, I usually will ink the stamp, hold it upsidedown on the table, and then pick up the paper and push the paper onto the stamp. That way I can see exactly where I am stamping and it isn't crooked. This is harder to do on a big piece of paper. That's why I almost always stamp on extra cardstock that I can put on the card for a layered look. It's cute, but then I have more control over the stamp itself.

use a clear ruler/straight edge... I havent tried this yet. Because I dont have one. or stamp on another paper and cut it out straight. good luck!

The Stamp-a-ma-jig is great for having images/words lined up perfectly. You can find it in most craft stores.
