Confirmation

This was quick and easy card, done for a friend whose godchild will be confirmed tomorrow. Base card is regular white cardstock. To that I added 2 rectangles of beige and brown cardstock from the DCVW Nature Preserve collection. Then added the dove and praying hands pictures. Then finally to complete I printed the name and sentiment on a piece of the beige cardstock and mounted them on the card.

Not a card....but cute

I made these notebooks for a group of girls that I teach at church.  I thought they turned out really cute and wanted to share them.  I could not get the first one to rotate right, so you get it sideways.  These are just composition notebooks that I covered in paper.  I also covered the back side in one of the plain colors from the front.  The girls loved them.

Easter Thank You Cards

These are two thank you cards I made for some of my husband's co workers. They worked on the annual Easter Egg Hunt for his work group (the bottom one was for the sweet man who dressed up as the easter bunny). The papers are from the DCWV 2007 Spring Stack.

Baby Card

I made this for a friend's baby shower. She had a baby boy. The paper is from the DCWV Spring 2007 stack, and has baby boy related phrases. I used white cardstock for the card. I punched out a circle (about 1") in baby blue cardstock, and then backed it on white cardstock. I punched two little holes (to make it look like a button), and then ran the ribbon through it.

I'm not too happy with how the bow turned out, so any suggestions on that front would be welcome.

I like the overall look well enough that I am using this design for some baby announcements for another friend.

Card Class Project Ideas

Okay, so I am teaching a card making class for our church's women's auxillary on March 11th. The theme I was given for the class was "Basic cards for every occassion".

I've come up with a few ideas, and I'd like some advice. Each participant will be making 4 cards, and I can't decide on which 4 to use. I won't tell you what my favorites are, 'cause I want some objective advice.

I would greatly appreciate it, if you could take a look at all of them, and let me know which are your 4 favorites. Just leave a comment with the card numbers (I've numbered them all). Be honest, be critical, and if you want, give me some advice on how I can make them better, or other designs I might want to consider.

Thanks!

P.S. Thanks to all of you for the great ideas that I pirated!

New Birthday cards

Here are some of my newest birthday cards.

The pink one (I actually made two), is for my niece's birthday.

The green one is for my nephew's birthday.

The Jolly Roger card, was for a little boy that is my son's friend. He was having a "pirate" themed party.

Card Making Week

I have been making quite a few cards this week. Here are five of them. The first two are based off of the one that Jules posted just a few days ago. I liked her idea and I was able to find some of my own paper to do something similar. I was making all of these cards for a friend and I wanted some pretty generic ones that you could use for most occassions and this is what I came up with.

New Card

No stamps, just paper! I used 3D mounting squares for the two small cut-out flowers. The flowered paper, like most of my other paper, is from a really cute Mat Stack I've loved from JoAnns. Can anyone recommend a stack of paper that they really love?
My kids are excited to stamp cards with me after school. When I suggested it, Erica (my 5-year-old) cried, "STAMPS! I've been waiting to use all your stamps!" Should I be worried? :)

A Few Random Cards

I'm stalling from packing...

(Pardon my horrible housing carpet)

Here is a card from Bri's Stampin' Up party:

Here is a card that Melanie made:

This is a card made with only paper, no stamps:
This is a baby card I made recently. It has a thin sheer ribbon running down the left of the stamp, in case you can't see. I also colored in the stamp with colored pencils:
