Two baby, One Grad

So I needed some baby boy cards believe it or not. And so I did these two simple ones. Got the idea from the SU catalog.
Sorry this one is harder to see.

Lastly this is my husbands Grad announcement. Its nothing fancy, but it was about time to get it done. Also inspired by the SU catalog.

Its A Girl

So I finally found out what that design sketch thing was that some of you were talking about. I saw one on someones blog and was inspired to do this. I think if we want to start doing them together on here that would be fun!

So quickly, I stamped flowers on the card and rolled flower on the pink paper. Stamped a baby and colored her in, but her on a scalloped circle Thanks Jessica! and tied a bow around it. I also stamped Its a girl and colored in with my white pen the daisys, the centers of some flowers and the baby's poka dots and zipper.

Card Frenzy

I made a ton of cards about a month ago but I haven't had a chance to post any of them. Here are several that I made. The quality of the slideshow didn't turn out that great. However, I will have to fix that later cuz right now I need to go to bed.

New Baby Boy

My friend just had a baby, and part of her gift from me was some handmade baby announcements. They aren't spectacular, but here is what they looked like.

I also did a "keepsake" page for her scrapbook, what was done in the same sort of style as the announcement.

The background paper is DCWV Spring stack 2007.

Happy Spring, Everybody!

This picture is terrible. The card is white in real life. Looking at this picture, I think I'll probably lightly shade the boy and the horse. Anyway, it's a card and I actually posted it. You guys have inspired me to post more!
This is a card designed especially for my Stampin' Up Grandma J...hopefully she won't see it before she receives it in the mail! She is so amazing and is always making cards for my family - for Easter, Valentines Day, Halloween, birthdays, etc.

Happy Spring!
p.s. If you want to be an author, put your email in a comment and I'll add you!

Baby Card

I made this for a friend's baby shower. She had a baby boy. The paper is from the DCWV Spring 2007 stack, and has baby boy related phrases. I used white cardstock for the card. I punched out a circle (about 1") in baby blue cardstock, and then backed it on white cardstock. I punched two little holes (to make it look like a button), and then ran the ribbon through it.

I'm not too happy with how the bow turned out, so any suggestions on that front would be welcome.

I like the overall look well enough that I am using this design for some baby announcements for another friend.

Creations of last night

Here are some cards I made last night.
One baby card and the rest for birthdays.

It says make a wish on the inside.

I held 4 small stamps together to get t he alignment right
for the 4 stamps mounted on red here.

Punched out the stripe and glued the punch-outs on anyway!

The "Welcome Little One" circle is on a dimentional to give it the popped out look.
Enjoy!

Baby Cards

I made some more cards for baby showers (a lot of women in our church are having babies soon).

Baby Card

I was making a card for a friend's upcoming baby shower. This was my attempt in green. Not sure if I want to give her this one or not (she is having a boy). Maybe I'll try one in blue.

A Few Random Cards

I'm stalling from packing...

(Pardon my horrible housing carpet)

Here is a card from Bri's Stampin' Up party:

Here is a card that Melanie made:

This is a card made with only paper, no stamps:
This is a baby card I made recently. It has a thin sheer ribbon running down the left of the stamp, in case you can't see. I also colored in the stamp with colored pencils:

To get us started...

For this card, I used the Stampin' Up Versamark stamp pad to create the water-mark on the dark paper. Pardon the picture quality - it's much prettier in person.

I made a bunch of these, so don't be surprised if you get one when you have a baby! :) I love Creative Memories cutting system, which allows for the different size circles. And thank you, Barbara, for the stamp!

Briann showed me how to rub my card against the stamp pad at different angles to create a random and shaded background. She also loaned me the stamps and colored the toadstool for me. Thanks, Bri!

This is such a classic Julie card - cute paper and one little stamp in the corner.

This is a tri-fold card with the HAPPY BIRTHDAY affixed to one side of the card. It has cool brown and tan colors...too bad they look terrible in the picture.
