Hello everyone, this is my first post here, hope you like it. A very simple card to make using glue to make patterns / swirls on the paper (here I used black), then adding glitter and stickers.

Holidays For Heroes

This year I made a few cards for Holidays for Heroes, a program by the Red Cross to deliver mail to American service members.

Graduation Cards

I recently had a friend graduate with her Master's degree, and I made a card. The wording is horrible, but I made the mistake of handprinting it, and so it is uneven and crappy! I made the "tassle" with ribbon, since our PX didn't have any embroidery floss. I used floral wire to make the neck of the tassle, and the '08 symbol.


This one was for my youngest sister who is graduating from high school this year. Her high school mascot is a tiger, hence the orange background and black stripes. I used scrap black cardstock for the stripes. Same method with the tassle and such on this one. This time I used stickers for the year.

Love the Bugs....

So I saw this really cute dragonfly stamp on line, and I loved it, but I couldn't wait to buy it to use the dragonfly idea, so I tried to hand draw a similar design. I drew several large and small versions, and used them in various designs. I used a sharpie to draw the outline, and then colored in with crayon.

I used a word stamp on this one and just tiled it across the bottom.

I really like the bi-fold idea, especially with the inset overlapping, this is just another experiment in that motif. I also tried to brush the edges of the inset on the stamp pad.

On this one, I cut out the little dragonflies and mounted them. I wanted a 3-D effect (like Jules's flower card), but I don't have any mounting pads, so I hole punched out some pieces of thick cardboard, and used them as mounts (just glued them on the back of the cutouts).

This one is also a bi-fold, but I went with ribbon as an opener instead of an overlapping inset.

I also had these really cute bee stickers, but for the longest time haven't been able to figure out what to do with them. I hand drew the "beehives" (not sure if they look right or not), and then cut them out and mounted them on the card. I had to hand draw the wording, so it is not very good.

Holiday Cards

I tried making some christmas/holiday cards...I think that I was a little too ambitious on this one.


The lights on this one are actually little stickers.


This snow man one looked better in my head. I think I put too much junk on it....hence why I didn't send it out.
